MLP FIM: Seaons 3 Rundown.

My list? (You will note that the Crystal Empire is one entry on my list)

1:  Magical Mystery Cure.
2:  Just for sidekicks.
3:  Games ponies play.
4:  Keep calm and flutter on.
5:  Sleepless in ponyville.
6:  Magic Duel.
7:  The crystal empire.
8:  Wonderbolt Academy.
9:  Spike at your service.
10: Apple Family Reunion.
11: One bad Apple.
12: Too many pinkie pies.

Now the question is... Why?
OK so starting at the bottom and working my way up.

(Before I start)
Important to note, Even my least favorite episode in season 3 was still NOT BAD. That pretty good in Season 1 and 2, there where at least 2-3 episodes that I just didn't like. And then there are maybe 1-2 episodes that I LOVE! There where really none this season that I was crazy about, but there where no weak episodes ether, so over all I am VERY happy with the season.

12: To many Pinkie Pies.
Ugg. Before I start I just have to this. I don't HATE pinkie pie, but I don't really like her, she is by far my least favorite of the main six, I simply don't think she is that funny. And would like to see her in less comedy based episodes. (Baby Cakes is one of my favorite 2nd season episodes) This was just kind of a weak use of Pinkie for the most part. (Just opinion)

11: One bad apple.
WE GET IT! BULLYING IS BAD!
Even my Niece/Nephew (Six and Three) Kind of expressed the opinion that they where being beaten with the blunt end of a moral. Now that being stated, It was not a BAD episode by my standards. And Over all I did kind of like Babs. So I don't think there was much they should have changed, but it was just not a episode I liked. (Odd sense apple bloom is one of my favorite characters)

10: Apple Family Reunion.
This is a pretty odd entry for me as well, AJ is my favorite pony. And again it was not a bad episode, but It just did not click for me, I don't really know why, it might go up on a re-watch.

9: Spike at your service.
Again Applejack... Well Spike to, It's not bad, and there are some very nice portions to this episode. But again it just did not click for me. (Side note: How can Spike be hyper compliant for Twilight and then Hyper Incompetent for Applejack)

8: WonderBolt Academy.
This was a OK/good episode, but the question I kept asking myself was... WHY? Why is this even a thing, It didn't seam like they actually chose any of the Ponies that attended. So it was basically Flight camp?

7: The crystal empire.
OK so again I just consider this a single long episode, and over all its not bad, its not great. Mostly because of the bad guy, or the lack of bad guy, he's just kind of a amorphous blob. I would king of like to see this guy again to be honest.

6: Magic Duel.
Ugg. Trixie... Again.
OK so first off, clearly I don't like Trixie.
I didn't want to see her again, BUT... The episode is pretty good.. The first episode I would actually good a very good episode in the season. I'm not a big fan of the 'no real bad guys' thing the show is getting close to doing. But it was actually good, and I'm OK with Trixie now, And would like to see her as a ally again. (BUT NO GILDA REDEMPTION!)

5: Sleepless in ponyville.
Hmm. This is a good Episode I can't quite place why. (Luna) Scoots is my least favorite CMC (I still really like her) And this episode goes a way to making me like her more, I would still like to know more about her. And Rainbowdash is good in the episode as well. (Luna)

4: Keep calm and flutter on.
So first off. I was TOTALLY AGAINST THIS!
I still am to some extent. I don't like the ideal that there are no bad guys, And so far there are really only three left that I would call bad guys. (Princess Cheese legs, Gilda, King-Something another) And the episode kind of got... Corny near the end, but overall  I like it and it was nice.

3: Games ponies play.
This is a mixed bad, but the up side is so good that is counter the down side. (Down side: ...) OK I can't think of one. (Up Side: More Cadence, More Shining Armor, More Crystal Empire, Some good background info, AND RAINBOWDASH DADDY!)

2: Just for sidekicks.
This is the first episode in the season that I just loved out rite, It was clever that they mixed it and games ponies play, It was funny. (You only want to get hit in the head by a flying turtle ones!) It had more Tank in it. It was a good moral lesson in it, that wasn't so blunt. And it had CMC without having them be annoying. (Something this season has been good at)

1: Magical Mystery Cure.
Down Side: This episode was... Well.. It felt like half a episode, or at the very least THIS FELT LIKE THE FIRST EPISODE OF A SEASON!

Up Side: MUSIC! Singing Celesta.

Posibility: That is the word I use for this episode, My only real fear was that Princess Twilight would be bigger or not have the same character model. I am very please that its just Twilight with wings.

And this episode has so many good places to go from this point. (And so much room to mess up at the same time) But the shows production crew has given me no real indication that they will do that... Yet...
