11... most overrated games of all time? IMHO.

Well So AGAIN, over and over again, I have to point out that overrated does not mean bad...
Overrated just means, more attention then it should be getting.
There are any number of reasons that a game or anything really can be overrated.
And I might actually comment on why these things are overrated from time to time, but that does not matter, what matters is that I get to be mean to Games that have already made there money and no one who made them cares what I have to say! YAY!

#11: SoulCaliber II! (Own it) (Would Buy Again)
So Why SCII?
Well two reasons, One it had a HUGE amount of hype with its release, or rather pre-release, and really was just a alright game. A alright game with some huge problems, most of those being the alternate game modes, the dungeons system just got really annoying really fast for most people. And the one thing that got allot of people to buy the game was actually one of the things I can't really gripe about.

The 'extra' character in each of the three versions, It was a really nice addition. Not good enough to garner all of the hype, but what ever.

#10: Sonic Heroes! (Never owned) (Never will/Would)
First off I would like to point out a few things about this game.
A: It is more of a cult classic then a actually famous or well liked game, so its more about the volume at which its supporters support it rather then the number.
B: I never liked ANY of the sonic games, that is not to say that I think they are bad, rather to say that I always thought the Sega's Controller was sluggish and crappy, thus the controls of the games where as well. C: I loved the Sega dreamcast.

This game is more about having a sizable cult following despite being one of the buggiest games ever made. Literally every one I know that owned this game hits bugs on a play though, so much so that most know how to do them at will.

#9: Phantasy Star Online. (Owned it) (Liked it)
This game was more about Why? then How...
I mean really there was no point in making it online.
It wasen't so much that it was worst for the fact, just more that it gets allot of credit for something that really didn't work that well and wasn't that great. But you really need to give this game credit for thinking ahead of its time, which is most likely the problem with it.

#8: Katamari Damacy... (Owned it) (liked it)
This is again a cult classic game.
And this one is again a game that at least dared to be original.
But really, I don't see what is so great about it, don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with liking this game I played it plenty. But I really don't think it deserves all the attention it gets.

#7: Sims 3. (Owned it) (Meh)
This game is more about EA knowing how to hook people.
This Sims as a whole is really just a massive time sink, but people who REALLY REALLY want you to think this is a deep game, have problems...  It's fine if you like this game and play it, but really don't tell me that its a great game or daring or deep or anything, its really just a more (Or less) complicated version of farmville.

#6: Mortal Combat! (The entire series to some extent) (Owned allot of them) (Liked them)
Mortal combat would have been nothing with out gore, there was really nothing special about it other then that, and really there is nothing special about it now other then that.  It is at the very least a good game now, at least as good as many of its contemporary, but the original was just Meh other then the gore. Streetfighter had MUCH better controls and was Much more Fluid.

On the upside the most reasent game was pretty amazing.

#5: Morrowind. (Owned it) (Was not a fan, despite being a fan of almost everything else Bethesda has done)
SO! Morrowind, this is honestly a groundbreaking game and could have been perfect, but a few issues really just dragged it down, but that's OK because Bethesda clearly learned from it, Oblivious had none of the problems that dragged it down. (It had new problems) And Skyrim is as perfect as a open world game has ever been.

The two real big problems with Morrowind?
A: Finding the damn story line. Really if you missed something or just where unlucky you might spend all your time just looking for the story line let alone playing it.
B: Ruining your game, You could kill people that would just wreck your game, in Oblivious they Kind of fixed this, and in Skyrim they did fix it? Are any of them perfect? NO, but they are pretty exceptable.

#4: Neverwinter Nights. (Own it) (Loved it)
This is again more about it not being THAT good, Its good very good. But really there are better D&D games out there, Balders Gate and Icewinddale are just as good, and don't get the kind of attention that this game does. Why? Simple. Online games.

NWN had a online function that REALLY got a die hard group of people to play it a VERY long time, (Still playing it in many cases) And the fact that NWN2 was... less then impressive didn't hurt ether. But NWN2 has slowly gotten better and really started to take its tole on this game.

#3: Metal Gear Solid 2: Cons of liberty. (Played it) (Sold my copy)
Simply put this game is a one play though game, no replay value.
And MGS really was never as good as most people say it was.
The story line is stupid for the most part.
The game play is Meh.
On that note this is a good game.
And most likely is one of the games that really helped the PS3 come out of a slump, but its really just not that great.

#2: Grand Theft Auto IV. (And the rest of the series to some extent) (Owned almost all of them)
Really this is kind of like the Mortal combat of open world games, It would be nothing without violence, And by that I mean largely pointless Violence. It's very telling when most of your players 'suffer' though your story line to get to better areas to go on mindless rampages.

GTA 2: Most people actually really enjoyed playing, mostly because it had a wicked sence of humor, that seams to have slowly faded for the most part now, and we are left with just the gameplay aspect of the games, which is still good but really... nothing special anymore.

(Puts on his VEST and Fire Protection Gear)
#1: Final Fantasy VII. (Have owned many copys, on the PC and PS1) (Will most likely buy the remake) (Have played most of the other games based off of it)

So this is again one of those things where is is most likely one of the great games of my life time, but its just not THAT good, its good, great even, but it was huge problems. The real way to tell is simply, if it was redone and release as a new release with now. (With updated graphics and what not) Would it do as well?

The answer is no.
But it would still do well.

This game gets allot of credit for being the first game of its kind to hit the Western Market. Case and point, its really not that big a deal in Japan. It's big, and It should be it was one of the better FF games. And even bad Final Fantasy is like Bad Shakespear, its still better then a good amount of its competitors.

This game is also really good because its had allot to do.
And it dose in fact have a pretty good story line.

But there are problems, even when it came out.

A: The main character... I mean it, The main character is boring, some people liked him, but most liked him for completly vapid reasons, It's not really the games fault, its VERY hard to do a quite mysterious character in text, it just comes across as bored and bland, I think if (When) the game is redone voice acting will largely fix this problem.

B: Pace. It is a up and down side that it takes FOREVER to beat this game, You can infact beat it in a little under 60 hours. (Which is a long play time) But most people took 120+ hours to beat it for what ever reason. And lord forbid that you saved that the wrong place and would have to restart or go back.

C: Graphics, It is important to note that the graphics where very good for the time, and some of them are still alright considering, but just in the cut sceans.

D: Tone, The game can be VERY stupid at times, and allot of times your just slogging though parts of the game to get to the good stuff.

E: Story.
Really people who think this game has amazing story, didn't play FF3. or FF:2 or FF1. On a note 4-6 are largely just remakes of the first three. And Seven was kind of a collection of all three, dropping what did not work and keeping what did, and I like that for the most part.

So in closing this is a great game.
But there are better even considering the time frame, there are better games or games that where just as good that came out at the same time. (Go play Lunar: Silver Star Story)

MCDKS

MCDKS.
This is a simple acronym.
It is about the general condition of the movie industry.
It stands for.

Movie
Critics
Don't
Know
Shit

And there is a reason for that.
And the simple reason is that the term "Critically acclaimed" doesn't mean anything.

There are really only two kind of movies in Hollywood.
Movies that make money and movies that don't.

You see basically every major movie studio owns or owns allot of stock in a major entertainment magazine. And thus pays the paychecks of a small army of movie critics, and thus every Hollywood movie made in the last 40 years has been "Critically Acclaimed."

The term is also about the general feeling that nothing a critic dose effects how well a movie dose.
Case and point.
The 2nd and 3rd Transformer movies where almost universally reviled by critics, but both made ALLOT of money. And by comparison The Shawshank Redeption was pretty much a box office flop.

It's also important to note that the box office is not the end of a movies money making career.
There is rental money, distributions money, licencing and merchandise.

So very few movies actually lose money for there investors, but some come very close and or are really not worth making to be honest. And this goes back to the ideal of overrated movies. Or books or whatever.

Overrated allot of times has nothing to do with the overall quality of the product.

Lets all ship?

Shipping for those of you who don't know is the anime fan practice of discussing who in a show should be in a relationship with who.

Now there are a few different types of shipping.
And the steps and tactics to shipping can be divided into many different groups.
The anime it'self could be any one of the following.

'No Shipping required'
This is when the story pretty much tells you who is with who, Dragon Ball/Z/GT is pretty good for this, its REALLY clear at some point who is with who, and there is more often then not no real explanation given. This is simply because the relationship is to move the story along, not the story in and of its self.

'Shipping Optional.'
This is when the show had room to ship, but its not really built into the show, that is to say there are plenty of relationships that Could be shipped, but none that really flower enought to say. 'This is clearly meant to be'

'Ready to ship.'
Most ReverseHarem/Harem Anime Falls into this area.
The basically is running on the ideal that the watcher is gonna do this, one guy/girl + a collection of people who like them, the watcher is going to have a personal preference as to who they should end up with. Now some Harem anime make it clear at love point who is the Lucky one is gonna be. (Love Hinna) But others do not. And some just ignore the problem. (Tenchi) By not having the main character show that much actual interest in the ideal of a relationship.

'Please no shipping?'
There are clearly show that have clearly been made to not be shipped, wile I can't really think of any its just safe to say that if the Wrighting never put ANY thought in relationships in the show then it fall into this group.

And likewise most shippers fall into a few groups as well, And its important to note that this is not a equal percentage in each group. The vast majortiy of shippers are going to ether be just fans with opinions, and Fangirls/Fanboys. And as we all know. Fangirls/boys Ruin everything... Ever.... Because they have a opinion and might have something to back it up, but more often then not operate on retard-logic.

Natural Shipping.
Natural shipping could actually just be called cannon shipping, Fans who support the cannon relationships in a show. More often then not because the story would not work otherwise. Or because the athore knows best. (BS)

Backup Shipping.
This is where you ship background characters, because all to often they get ignored. I mean sure batman has catwomen but what about robin?

Better then Natural Shipping.
Some times the designated couple just isn't as good as some other combination to be honest, and you would really rather see another couple then the one you get in the story.

They would be cute together Shipping.
This is a rather shallow version of the above, insisting that two characters would be good together because they would be 'cute' together, that what actually means is the fanboy/girl just want there two favorite characters together.

Cracked Shipping.
This is where a unstable fanboy/girl insists that two characters that have nothing in common and for the most part would hate each other would make a good couple. Because... Well Just Because.... It makes no sense and you should most likely put them down before the cause to much trouble.

10 most Overrated Movies.

So the thing about making a overrated list is that most the time a movie or book or what ever can only become overrated by being good. Or at least having something good going on for them. Otherwise things at the very most get a cult following.

So when making a list of the most overrated movies you must understand that allot of these movies are good, some not so much. So the title of overrated is not a indication that they get to much attention for what they are.

Honorable Mention.
Pulp Fiction.

-I am actually a passing fan of this movie and it dose actually have allot going for it, but it also has a odd amount of drooling idiot fan boys... Really everything done by Tarantino.

Fargo.

-It stuns me how many people consider this a great movie, it's just boring, slightly amusing wile doing it but simply boring.

The Graduate.
-This is not a good movie. Not a good movie at all. The main character is a little bitch, he is whinny and self entitled. The stories tries to make the parents out to be some kind of bad guys, but there not. So they don't get that there son is "deep" which he is not. They are still not bad parents. And the ending sucks. Not only dose it suck, it started a trend of suckie endings in movies.

#10: 2001: A space Odyssey.
-So first movie off the bat I have to admit that I totally love this movie. Really any Stanley Kubrick movie is going to have something good about it. But this movie is kind of boring in that it drags on, and its a bit to cryptic, again a VERY good movie, but allot of people who get the movie contest there is way more there then there really is. And that you just don't "get it" if you don't love the movie.

So the real problem with this movie is that allot of its fans use it to make themselves feel more important then they really are.

#9: Scarface.
-I know allot of people like this movie, and by that I mean allot of people say they like this movie but have not seen it in forever. Al Pacino is overrated as a actor for the most part. (Much like Jack Nicolas) Which is not to say they are not enjoyable to see in some movies. But you always know what to expect from them. He simply screams and curses in most of his movies, and this is no different.

There are better Mafia movies, really this is just a famous movie because it was the first big ultra violence movies to come out. If this movie was released as a new movie today, It would be a flop, or at the very least not that well received.

#8: Top gun.
-Right... So right off the start, this movie is gay... No two bones about this, watch it again, you will spend a huge amount of time trying to figure out when Cruise and Reeves will kiss already.
This really isn't much of a guy movie ether, its really just a stupid movie about balls and how big they are. And with few exceptions its boring, It's not romantic, and its storyline is largely pointless.

And talking about the Story line, its total BS, basically every point in this movie is a bullshit moment, EVERY PLOT POINT IS STUPID AS HELL. There are only two reasons that this movie did well when it came out. First: Soundtrack. Second: Russians. Its like read dawn, only its totally sucks, instead of just being silly but well executed.

#7: Erin Brockovich.
-This movie is kind of like Patch Adams in that the person its based on should punch the person who made the screen play right in the damn mouth. Less then patch Adams in that the movie is actually much closer to true life events, and much more in that Julie Roberts is the main actress. Don't get me wrong its not like I hate the women or anything, but I just want to punc Erin Brockovich in this movie every time she is on screen.

#6: Oceans. (Enter Number)
-OK so this is actually a pretty entertaining movie. (The first one)
But after that it gets old, and stupid, and its not like this is a great movie ether, its just OK. its just fun to watch, that's good, but it dose not make this a great movie.

#5: Blade Runner.
-Again this is a good movie, I would even for to very good movie.
But its largely ruined, WHY you might ask?
Because Decker totally misses the point of the entire movie.
He gets told why the robot... thingy doesn't kill him and totally misses the point, thus invalidating the entire point to the movie. It would be just like... ... ... Like Decker not getting the point of the movie, I can't even come up with a good comparison.

#4: Titanic...
-OK so I just need to say a few things.
I am actually a pretty big Leo fan... no I mean it, I have never seen him act in a movie that he did not do well in. I think the guy has allot of range. Also this movie is good, its well acted and its well executed... Now that being said its not 2.2 billion dollars good. And just making a movie about the Titanic sinking is a little distressful, and then there is... THAT SONG...

This is a boring and insulting love story, but a well executed boring and insulting love story, A well acted boring and insulting love story. But really the amount of attention this movie gets is just retarded. To the point that I am openly hostile to Titanic fans.

#3: Napoleon Dynamite.
-This is another movie where the fans are the problem and not so much the movie, but the movie is pretty bad, I really think the maker was more surprised that people liked this more then anything. Because this movie really gives off so bad its good vibes, not "O its so deep" no. no its not, its stupid, its stupid in a good way but still overrated.

#2: King Kong.
-Really any version.
The original was famous because of special effects, that's it. And for there time they where VERY impressive, the peter Jackson version was actually good, but still not that good. This movie gets WAY to much credit for being the first to do something.

#1: Avatar....
O James Camron. You can say allot about James but two things you need to admit is that James Camron has never made a BAD movie, and that James Camron always makes money with his movies. But Avatar I don't get. I mean really. whats the draw? It looks REALLY nice, and by that I mean the effects are good, because really it doesn't look that good.

And the love story / story is BORING so so boring, two hours of ZZZzz Inducing drivel just so we can see the future equivalent of blackwater blow up a tree. I'm not even going to go into the 'Avatar is dances with wolves in space' yes we know, James already said that.

And I wont even go into every plot hole. Because really you can derail the entire movie in about a dozen places, And I wont start to point out how the Victory at the end of the movie basically only mad things worse. No I will just say that this SHOULD NOT BE THE HIGHEST GROSSING MOVIE OF ALL TIME.

10 most overrates books of all time.

I am a pretty heavy reader, and when given an choice I almost always read older stuff, in fact when the BBC came out with a list of the 100 greatest books of all times, I have ready 83 of them, sense then, I knocked the other 17 out. I have also gotten most of the double day foundations list of the 100 greatest works of world literary. (Which is much less Euro-centric)

And as I often tell people some of the greatest things in the world are also the most overrated.
Now I'm not talking sliced bread hear people, after all. (Bread + Bread knife = Sliced bread is not that impressive) I mean that allot of famous books (And anything really) Are simply not as good as people let on, or are famous for a stupid reason.

So I decided to make a list of the TOP TEN MOST OVERRATED BOOKS OF ALL TIME!

But before I start, I would like to make two Dishonorable Mentions.

Dishonorable Mentions #1: Twilight. (All of it)
To sum up what is wrong with Twilight I will use a quota.
"Harry potter is all about confronting fears finding inner strength and doing what is right in the face of adversity, twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend." :Steven King.
Thank you Steven. To sum it up in my words. Bella is a Mary Sue, A character that every one likes but no one can give a reason for, she's useless, helpless, A fop and the character sets women back at least....  two thousand years. It's not well written, its not consistent breaking basically every rule set forward in the story by the end, there is a lack of character development and Edward is a flawless boring character. (Whos face looks like a foot in the movies)

Simply put this is just not a good book, it sells itself to the lowest common denominator, its basically a female version of movie that has nothing but Explosions and tits in it. But I wont put it on the list for two reasons, its to polarizing simply put you love it or you think its a steaming pile of shit. And if Twitards would look around they might relies they are out numbered. And the second reason is.. In ten years no one will remember it.

Dishonorable Mention #2: The King James Version of the Bible.

Now I know what allot of people are thinking.. and I don't care. There is nothing wrong with the KJB other then it is the worst choice for a bible if your not Church of England. And even then its not that good. Look its is a. (Deep Breath) Political re-wright of a German Bible, that was a political re-wright of a Latin Bible, that was a political re-wright of a Greek bible, that was a bad translation of a Hebrew torah.

Pick up a New International Bible for craps sake. It's better. And it doesn't make allot of sense that people who fled the Church of England for religions freedom are using there bible.

_ So on to the list.

#10: A song of ice and fire. (All of it)
So first thing, this is actually a well written story, and should actually be considered a good read. BUT... It's kind of like Twilight, getting way to much attention. And its not THAT good. And if there was ever a book that I could actually agree with Feminists about being terrible its this one.
The characters are unlikable, there are to many plot holes, there is to much rape. Or talk of rape, or thought of rape, To much baby killing, no much back stabbing. So on and so forth, we get it, your world sucks. Move on and give us something else. And no we don't need a HBO series, a Movie Series and a PC game.

#9: The Hunger Games.
Again a very new title, and that's why its up here, getting to much attention, but this one I think I will actually have to put up with longer then Twilight. But its still basically crap, there is no reason to really get involved in this book the characters are.. Meh, And there is no reason to want the "hero" to prevail over any one else. This is a book that want you to think its social commentary cleverly hidden in a violent story about children stabbing each other. But no its actually a story about Children Stabbing each other hidden in a pretentious load of social commentary. And Again A movie already?

#8: Wuthering Heights.
This would be higher up there if more people wear forced to read it, I say forced to read it because that's the only reason that any one reads it, because they are forced to in English Lit classes. Let me sum it up for you, Its to jumpy to know what is happening half the time, every character is a two dimensional ass hole and a terrible person. And its a predictable trashy novel. In other words its a Trashy romance novel were every on has Aspergers.

#7: The Great Gatsby.
There is a reason that this book made little money when it came out despite being a "Critical success" And that's because Critics don't know shit. And more often then not a pretentious pricks. Well Written does not mean GOOD! It's a boring ass book about a ass hole who runs some one over and then gets shot in a pool. That's it.

#6: Atlas Shrugged.
And Again don't misunderstand and think I don't think this book is not good. It's just that... Its a slow boring book about political and moral views hidden under a slow boring book about political views and moral standards. No really there is basically no way to hide the fact. It would have actually been a better read if the author would have just written a academic paper.

#5: Jane Eyre.
This book is not on hear because its a good book that's considered a great book, it's head because its a boring book that's considered a good book. I can read things like war and peace, and a tale of two city's without being bored. The secret garden is one of my favorite books, and this book was almost to boring for me to get past the first two chapters. This not bad, it not badly written its just SO BORING, and its not like its a boring book with great subtext or anything its just a boring book.

#4: The catcher in the rye.
This is kind of like Jane Eyre only its supposed to have subtext, which it does not, or rather it has clumsy subtext. And is about an equally unlikeable character. Ill save you the time of reading this, just find a whinny emo kid and sit and listen to them talk to you for.. I don't know... two days. That's pretty much the same thing.

#3: The Da Vinci Code.
Kind of like the movie, its interesting to read, but its not clever. It's not really that shocking, and most importantly its pretentious and written by a guy who clearly has a VERY high opinion of himself. It's on hear more because of the regards its held it.

#2: The Scarlet letter.
And Again this is not a book about something important, its a book about smut, and covered with just enough social commentary to get it buy, You will notice allot of these are basically trashy romance novels about people fucking and murdering. That's because Critics are Morons who think that's good writing.

#1: Moby Dick!
OK so right off the bat, this is a GOOD book, it has some of the best Dialog in a book I have ever seen, and very good subtext, so it normally has everything I like in a book, the problem is that's all it has at all. Other then that its just a boring book about a guy trying to kill a whale, there are no real compelling characters. (The Whale is more compelling then most of the crew) And there are sections wear the author is clearly padding. There is a entire chapter wear the captain is just naming off (Not even talking about) Whale species.

Again one of those moments wear the book should be on a list of best books, but is still at the top of the most overrated book list.

My top 10 Favorite cartoons of all time.

This really dose not need much of a set up.
This is simply the ten cartoons that I would willingly watch over and over again, maybe not even the ones that I think are the "best" and it will become clear as I go into each one what I'm looking for in a cartoon.

Score.
2 Nickelodeon.
3 Disney.
3 WB.
1 Cartoon Network.
3 Tera Strong.
2 Grey DeLisle.
1 Mark Hamill.

#10: The Fairly OddParents. (Nickelodeon) (Created by Butch Heartman)
This will be the first only enter for Mr. Butch Heartman on this list, but make no mistake this guy is good. Having worked on Tom and Jerrry, Dexter's lab, Johnny Bravo, the Powerpuff girls and T.U.F.F.Puppy, As well as a few cartoons that I never really cared for but I will admit are at least alright.
It will however be the first entries for both Tera strong and Grey DeLisle, who will show up on this list a few more times before its over.

Simple put this is one of those shows that is fun for kids, and has allot of jokes ment for adults as well, and the addition of REALLY good voice acting across the board is always welcome. Neat little things like Adam West playing a deranged former TV super hero, and just allot of very watchable stuff for both kids and adults.

#9: Phineas and Ferb. (Disney Channel) (Created Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh)
So if you have not seen this show... You don't have kids. Or teens or any Disney Philes. Simply put this show is one that I am never upset to see on TV, I don't go out of my way to watch it, but the formula it works off of is so enjoyable that its predictability is part of the draw. And I think almost all of the humor in this show operates off the ideal of making light of yourself. Because you know... your a cartoon.

If you want to get me hooked on a cartoons there are two ways to do it, A: Make fun of yourself and genera. B: Treat your viewing audience with respect. And this show manages to do both nicely.

#8: Steven Spielberg Presents Animaniacs. (Tom Ruegger)
This show really is in the same area as both Fairly OddParents and Phineas and Ferb, It's witty it has allot of stuff of older watches, and it makes fun or itself allot. And Everything else. If there is any really confusing problem with this show its this, It seams like allot of the humor was aimed at people who wear in the know about the animation and show business community.

But Again there is not humor like self deprivating humor, and this is a very catchy show, I don't really know any one who was the right age to watch this show that did not at least like it, and many adults can still sing the theme song and know most of the jokes. I'm really surprised that I have not seen this being re-aired more on TV.

#7:Gargoyles. (Walt Disney Television Animation. - Disney Channel before there was one) (Created Greg Weisman) (Keith David, Marina Sirties, Jonathan Frakes, Brint Spinner.)
This is most likely the first entry that some of you have not seen, and it is the first one that's well... Not very cartoon...ish. This show didn't have a whole lot of humor. So what Did it have? I could make a list out of that itself. And I will.

A: Amazing Music. I always love a good musical score in a show, and it is one thing that allot of the shows already mentions have, but I mean background music in this case, good instrumental pieces
B: Story, This show was one long continuous story, one of the first cartoons to really try this.
C: Seriousness. No really the story in this thing was Serious, people died, hearts wear broken.
D: Social Issues, I don't mean that in the sense that they beat you over the head with it, It's pretty much in the same area as X-men its talking about social issues that we all face, its just hiding them very nicely.
C: VOICE ACTING! As you can see on the list up there, This show has KEITH MOTHERFUCKING DAVID as the main voice actor! If you don't know who this guy it, you still most likely know this voice. And the Addition of Marina Sirties, Jonathan Frankes and Brint Spinner.

For people who are not huge geeks that three people form Star Trek The Next Generation, And it's not like these people are just there every now and then, they are full time voice actors, all three of them playing pretty important roles. So is this show perfect? No no no... Simple put if I have to fault it for anything, It most likely takes itself a little (Way) To serious at times. And It's VERY dramatic. Its on the list for the same reason as one of my higher numbered picks, and its this reason that it's not higher up.

#6: Kim Possible. (Walt Disney Television Animation) (Created by Bob Schooley and Mark McCorkle) (John DiMaggio, Nicole Sullivan, Patrick Warburton)
Remember what I said about Making fun of yourself in a show? Ya that's the entire point of this show, The ideal behind the show is quite frankly so stupid that If I was to explain it to some one they would most likly smack me. But A few points can be made.
A: This show is VERY Aware of how stupid the ideal is, and its pretty much built on the ed-construction of the 'super-hero' 'spy' and 'high school drama' genra.=
 ge
B: Music. Simply put the theme is... Silly. But EXTREMELY catchy.
C: Voice Acting. Really there are allot of very good voice actors in this show, but really the three that I am referring to are John DiMaggio. (Bender from Futurama) Patrick Warburton. (From to much stuff to count) And NICOLE SULLIVAN! (Yes the women from mad TV) Which Brings us to the next point.
D: Characters. The characters in the show are just enjoyable, a little silly and very aware of the genre that they are in. And Nicole Sullivan is the queen of this, her character Shego is always a joy to watch, simply because she is a one character deconstruction of the super Villian / underling model. And super Villains Trusted Lieutenant, Who clearly could be in charge if she wanted to, is really smarter then her boss and simply has everything in advantage on her boss, and only puts up with him because she enjoys mocking him when he fails. (And he pays well)

In short, Its a very Fun show. Not serious at all, and it just puts me in a good mood when I watch it.

#5 & 4 Tie: Teen Titans. (Cartoon Network in Partnership with WB) (Created by Glen Murakami) (Greg Cipes, Tara Strong)
Right so first off just let me say that I am a huge comic book geek, and that I am a fan of the Titans Comic, And that this show is a VERY good adaptation, using just enough creative license, the right amount of humor and action, seriousness and light fun. The voice acting. (Tara Strong) is really great and has allot of people in it that you will be able to pick out by voice. (Ron Perlman) The music was... Alright BUT THE OPENING THEME is infectious, its short extremely catchy and really kind of goofy.

Where the show shines in in the few story episode it has each season and in character, simply put every one can find a character they really like, and allot of people at least like most of the main cast if not all of them. And like Kim Possible the style is a kind of fussion of anime and more traditional western cartoons, So if your a fan of anime and a comic book geek, take a look at this.

#5 & 4 Tie: My Little Pony, Friendship is magic. (The Hub = Hasbro) (Created By Lauren Faust) (Tera Strong, Tabitha St.Germain, Grey DeLisle)
OK SO.. This is in fact a show for little girls. And I totally acknowledge that. I could go into how this show has a number of factors that make it much more enjoyable then bla bla bla. It's a show for little girls. The reasons I like the show are simple.

It makes me happy... No really that's it. I am in fact a VERY cranky person, and pretty unhappy most of the time, BUT! I can sit down at watch ponies. And it makes me happy. Simply put I can't be cranky after watching this show.

And to be fair it is very clever, And that's mainly for three reasons.
A: Voice acting. You will notice Tara Strong again! Also John de Lancie! (Q from Star Trek)
B: Humor, This show is again very aware of what it is and it has fun with that.
C: Characters, They are simply enjoyable and most people who people that they will be reminded of wile watching this show.
D: Writing, The show was made by Lauren Faust, who has done work on allot of stuff that people have watched and liked, Powerpuff girls, and Fausters comes to mind. And the episodes are really well put together, it will at the very least be standable for most parents to watch with there.... daughters.

Its also worth pointing out that the writing staff on the show is comprised of people who have worked on pretty much every good cartoon made in the last 20 years.

The reason this show is not actually a little higher, or at least beating Teen Titans is simple.
It's not done yet, it just finished its second seasons, and the third season is being done right now, and simply put I don't know if the show will nose dive into the ground to get better, ether is pretty easy to see.
And the show has its down sides, simply put some of the episodes are just not that great, that being said, its not like half of them are like this, its more like a few episodes per season. It should also be noted that this is the only FLASH animation show on the list. Something that normally = low production value and looking crappy.

#3: INVAIDER ZIM! (Nickelodean) (Created by Jhonen Vasquez)
I honestly don't even know wear to start with this show other then to say it is 100% Brilliant, It's so Brilliant and creative, that its creativity is pretty much what killed it. It was a show that only had two (Very short) Seasons. The show was hilarious, and character every one loved and was actually very well rated.

So then what was the problem?

It was... Bizzar. And in many ways, clearly not made for younger children, its deranged sense of humor was also kind of hit or miss, ether your gonna love it and bust a gut giggling, or your going to think the people who watch this show are deranged serial killers. (People who murder lucky charms)

I would go on about this show, but really there is no way for me to sell this show, just go watch it and you will ether love it or be terrified by it. Also the Character Gir could be the most amazing thing to ever come out of TV... Ever.

#1 & 2: Tie: Batman the Animated Series. (Created by Bob Kane and Bill Figner) (Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill) (Music by Danny Elfman) (Warner Bros)
This show is on the  list for so many reasons that I cant even start to explain them without tripping over myself. So I will just say this. This is most likely the greatest depiction of batman ever, And its not just me, the creators of the batman comic have pretty much stated the same thing as well.

And the show is hear because it treated its viewing audience like they are intelligent and smart enough to handle very serious and adult subject matter. This is the only show on the list I can think of that uses guns... No guns that fire "Lasers" or beams, Real guns, that really kill people. (Off screen) But you know that they die. This show kills people.

This show deals with deep emotional and mental issues, it asks serious philosophical and social issues in a way that kids will get, simply put, this show does not pull punches. And it looks and sounds amazing. (Danny elfman) The voice acting it literally second to none. And Kevin Conroy is a perfect batman, And MARK HAMILL as the Joker is amazing!

I do need to make a note about the shows that came after this "The new batman Adventures" This show is... Well very good, but not as good as before. I say before because this is just the last few seasons after this shows, and really its just a matter of shifting to a animation style that was much cheaper to produce, and that's fine, but I really missed the art deco of the first two seasons.

#1 and #2 tie: Avatar: The last air bender. (Nickelodeon) (Created by Micheal Dante Dimartino and Bryan Konietzko) (Grey DeLisle, Mark Hamill)

This show is on this list because it dose everything that I love and does it well, it treats me like a adult and has a sense of humor, and ontop of it its one of the most original shows I have seen in a long time, and has allot of very nice elements. (That it borrowed from other things) But It is still very unique for a TV show.

No explanation needed, just watch it.

Honorable Mentions.

Honorable Mentions.
Simply put these are a collection of shows that would have made it onto my top 10 list, if it wasn't for the sheer number of shows that I had on my list. Allot of these are better then the ones on my list, but I simply like those better.

So Again there are gonna be groups of these shows.

Group A: Good But I like something else better.
This goes with what I said above, Just not enough room on my list.

Group B: Possible better then stuff on my list, but Just not my thing.

Group C: Not enough information. Simple put some shows I didn't see enough of to really get into them.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. (Group A)
Part of the problem with this show is most likely that I was a LITTLE to old when it came out.
And wile the production value of this show was actually not that great, it was not bad for the time period. It was engaging and entertaining. So it's not that it's bad, It's just that it's not quite as good as most people remember. But it get's heavy points for nostalgia.

Cartoon Cartoons. (Group A and B)
I adore Billy and Mandie.
Dester's Lab, Johnny Bravo, Edd Ed and Eddie wear all shows I loved.
Powerpuff girls, Cow and Chicken, I am Wiesel wear shows I just didn't get.
Now again I was a little old for these shows when they came out. But I always liked cartoons more then other kinds of shows.

Steven Spielberg Present's. (Group A)
Tiny Toons, Freakazoid, Pinky and the brain.
This is another group of shows that I really did like, just not enough to get on the list, and they wear a little out of my time. But over all very good and worth watching, It surprises me they don't get more replay.

Disney Cartoons. (Group A and B)
Darkwing Duck, Ducktales, Gooftroop, Talespin, Chip'n'Dales Rescure Rangers.
There might be one of two I missed, These shows were fun to watch, and wear VERY high quality. Even by today's standards, And duck tales was responsible for the increase in quality of cartoons across the board. (More on that latter)

Legend of Korra. (Type C)
This one literally just came out, so this is a matter of not seeing enough of it, but it has what I would consider the best pilot episodes. (The first two and only ones I have seen) That I think I have ever seen, If it has any real fault its that it is very dependent on seeing Avatar the Last Air bender.

Futurama. (Type A)
I really enjoy this show but its really just a matter of it not quite making it onto my list.
It's really because its not powerful in any real way. I like it, just not as much as other shows.
It's witty just not as much as other shows. And so on. Really good just not a personal favorite.

Star Wars: The clone wars. (Type A)
This show does not make it for two reasons. It almost dosen't feel like a cartoons.
And Well.. It's CGI. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with CGI as a whole.
But let's just say I have a very rocky Oppenheimer of CGI as a whole. (Might Get to that latter)

X-men. (Type A)
Spiderman. (Type A)
Really both of these shows fall into the same group.
I like them, and they had very good story line.
But really... It was a matter of, I didn't want to watch a super powered soup opera.
(Same Reason I never really got into Hero's)

Spongebob. (Type B)
OK before I start I want to just go ahead and get my trolling out of the way.
#1: If you don't like this show because "It's stupid" That's fine.
#2: If you don't like this show because "It's Stupid" And you are a fan of Ren and Stimpy. Your a
Retard. And a petty one at that, This show is simply put the TV reincarnation of Ren and Stimpy. The stupid humor, the weird and often grotesque art style. The only real diffrents is that Spongebob is actually more kid friendly. And the voice acting is better. Always interesting but I would never go out of my way to watch it.

Space ghost coast to coast. (Type B)
I actually caught this show allot, because I can't sleep normal hours it would seam. And you know what It was always at least amusing, I don't think I ever really laughed at it, but it was always fun to watch.

Justice Leauge. (Type B)
This show gets a mention because it is most likely the best rendition of the DC universe... And I'm counting the actual DC universe in that statement. But the problem was, well I'm just not a huge DC fan. There are in fact really only two exceptions to that. And they are in the list of top 10's. Also if you get a chance to watch it. Young Justice is pretty good as well.

Dishonorable Mentions.

So before I start my list of Dishonorable Mentions, I want to take a little time to make sure every one knows what I am on about. First off some of the shows are or wear very good.
So some of the reasons that things end up on this list are as follows.

Also on a note I will most likely not use the proper name of any long named show in this. (I.E. He-man not He-man and the masters of.... O look I seamed to have stopped caring)

A:They Suck. Plain and simple they are just terrible shows, and to even get on this list, some one some wear must have at least watched the shows, so it stands to reason that some one liked them, and I will upset some one with this list, to which I answer. "Harden the hell up."

B:Good But over rated and or I did not get them.
These are shows that I will openly give had something going for them. Where they good? Most likely not, but they wear not bad, some of them I will actually tell you where very good, but simply wear not for me, and some are just overrated for one reason or the other.

C:Jumped the Shark.
Plain and simple these are shows and simply should have quite at some point.
In new seasons they will have a few good episodes each season, but nothing like the original runs.

D:Hit and Miss.

E: Doug.

GI Joe. (Type A)
Lets not mince words here. This show SUCKS.
Simple put there is NOTHING good about this show and it has all of the major flavor groups of sucking. Low production value, Bad voice acting, boring, lame, no real story to be seen.
And the worst part is that it was popular. I'm not entirely sure how or why. As a kind I always thought over and over again, "OMG this sucks, why would any one watch this. I'm going to go watch something get eaten on the discovery channel." Also this show manages to be mildly racist on top of it. (That is to say racist without being meaning to do harm, and I'm normally not a big fan of bitching about that. This and a few other shows on the list are good examples of why you don't let toy sells control your show.

He Man. (Type A)
See above. Pretty much every thing that could be said about with the exception of the mild racism, But with a great deal more.... Well gayness. (Not that there is anything wrong with that) But again as a kid I was like. "This sucks, and that guy in the pink shirt is kind of gay... I'ma go watch something get blown up on the Discovery Channel."

Jem/Carebares/My Little Pony/Rainbow Bright/She-ra. (Type A)
Really these shows are the little girl targeted versions of the above, Shows meant to sell toys. And they have basically every problem the above do. Jem and GI Joe being the worst offenders because they wear stupid and often... well just bad for kids. No really.. Watch Jem again it's mind poison for little girls.

The Transformers. (Type B)
Ya ya, I know "how can you dislike Transformers!" And the simple answer is... I don't I don't feel one way or the other about Transformers, I always thought it was boring, It had some very good things going for it, and it also had some terrible things going for it, It's basically on the list for the sheer overrated factor. So in short, GOOD, but not THAT GOOD.

Thundercats. (Type B)
Three things to be noted.
1: This is in fact a American Cartoon. Allot of people think its Japanese.
2: This show was... Alright It had allot going for it, but basically had allot of stuff weighing it down as well.
3: This show got a huge popularity boost because of Cheetara... Just saying.
It had a alright story line when they stuck to it, It had a Pretty bad ass bad guy. (Always a plus with me) And it had Cheetara. (Always a plus with me) But It also had a over abundance of the required 1980's annoying sidekick/cute pet. And the Main character had He-man (Or rather Prince atom) levels of annoying twit going on for him. On a note the remake is nothing but a Improvement over the classic.

Beavis and butt-head. (Type B)
OK so right out front, I watched this show, And I liked it... but it was a guilty plesure and is just bad, it is however one of those things that gets into the. 'So bad its good' area, and 'made to be bad levels.'

The Ren and stimpy show. (Type B)

Same as above... Only... This one was much more a 'So stupid is Zen' thing going on for it.
Brilliant but at the same time to far out there to really be anything other then blatant idiot indulgence. (And now to make every one mad) This show dose in fact have a modern equivalent.
So much so that I'm going to include in here and not on its own installment. Spongebob. Yay I said it, Spoungebob is the modern reincarnation of the Ren and Stimpy show. Right down to the random Diseased images.

Daria. (Type B)

This show is on here because Wile Brilliant. (And I mean that in a much purer way the on the ohter Type B's) This show is... Just boring. I would still watch it, but I would never seek it out.

South park. (Type C)
The next few are going to get allot of flak. But Simple put south park should have stopped at some point, or at the very least started making much smaller seasons, you can now tell when they are just putting a episode out to be putting on out.

Family guy. (Type C)
Same as above only a little less, I find newer episodes of Family guy nearly as good as old ones, they just seam to be... more preachy and up there own ass now then they once wear.

The Simpsons. (Type C)

~Sigh~ This one really hurts me, Really as some point this show went from constant gold to... three or four good episodes a season, and then a bunch of crap ones.

King of the hill. (Type D)
Really Type D's are just Type C that never had a golden time. They are just hit and miss. One episode might be brilliant then the next is just stupid.
Kind of the hill never set well with me because it was always boring and relied on way to much stupid 'redneck' humor for me, That is to say making fun of rednecks. (And trust me I make enough fun of people from Texas as it is) And the sad part, The main character in this, is easily the most likeable one out of Type C-D. The real question is... Why the hell dose Hank hang out with these people?

American Dad. (Type D)
This one is more hit and miss by the moment, 90% of the episode is stupid and boring and the 10% is really funny. But over all its just to inconsistent for me.

Doug. (Type E)
Ahh Doug....
This is a show that really confounds me.
See the thing is, this show is almost a work of art, and I have watched the entire thing. (Because I have a friend that loves it) And I can totally see why. The Problem is simple that this is THE MOST BORING THING EVERY MADE! It's like watching lions eat a already dead Zebra, Amazing and terrible all at the same time.

Simply put I think you ever get Doug or you don't and if you do it transcends the boringness and becomes interesting.

My list of 10's.

I started to come up with the Ideal of a top ten list for my favorite cartoons.
And in doing so I discovered that I came up with lists of lists.

Simple put its a complicated matter.
So In the next few weeks I'm going to be doing a few lists.
And each one will most likely Be VERY long. Because I'm not just going to list them off I'm going to explain why.

So My First List is going to be.

My list of lists!

#1:My top 10 Favorite Cartoons.
#2:My top 10 Favorite Animes.
#3:My top 10 Favorite Animated Movies.
#4:My top 10 Honorable Mentions.
#5:My top 10 Dishonorable Mentions.

OK so a quick explanation of each.

Quick Note:
This is my list, shows I enjoy and think are very good, some of them are not as good as other shows and I know that, its just a matter of taste.

Number 1 & 2 are pretty simple.
And it's important to note that I take the "Made in Japan" approach to anime only on this list.
Simple because its a little unfair to MOST western shows to compare them to anime. (If only becuase of the normal target aduainces of anime/western animation)

Number 3. Kind of the same ideal, movies and TV shows really are not the same, so I split it off of the main lists.

Number 4.
Simple put a collection of shows that are ether VERY good, but I just don't get.
Or shows that are good, just not good enough to make it on the list.

Number 5.
This is a collection of shows that simple put I can't stand.
But it's important to note that COMPLETE tripe wont even make this list.
So this is really more of a collection of shows that were in fact successful but I just never got and really thought little of people who liked them as well.
